What Is Exercise Physiology & How It Can Help You?

Whether you’re managing a health condition, recovering from injury, or just want to move better and feel stronger — you don’t have to figure it out on your own.

At Virtual EP, we specialise in personalised, evidence-based movement support, delivered online to suit your needs and lifestyle. Our services are available to people of all ages and abilities, including those with a chronic condition, persistent pain or looking to simply improve their health.

What Does an Exercise Physiologist Do?

An Accredited Exercise Physiologist (AEP) is a university qualified allied health professional which uses exercise to help manage or improve a wide range of health conditions and goals.

We support people with:

  • Chronic illnesses (e.g. heart disease, diabetes, arthritis)

  • Injuries or surgery recovery

  • Disability support (including NDIS plans)

  • Age-related conditions (e.g. falls risk, low mobility, frailty)

  • Mental health challenges

  • Pain conditions (e.g. lower back pain, fibromyalgia)

  • General health and fitness goals

We assess how your body moves, understand your health history, and create a customised plan to help you move safely, confidently, and with purpose.

Who Is It For?

Exercise Physiology is suitable for:

  • People living with health conditions

  • NDIS participants (Self, Plan & Agency managed)

  • Older adults wanting to stay strong and independent

  • Carers supporting a loved one’s mobility or wellbeing

  • Anyone returning to movement after injury or illness

  • People who prefer expert guidance with their exercise

Whether you're just starting out or returning after a long break, we meet you where you’re at — literally and physically.
